bassac represents a network of around a hundred settlement and social action members across the UK. They've got quite a pedigree with members such as Oxford House and Toynbee Hall dating back well into the nineteenth century.
We were approached by bassac at the start of 2008 to redevelop and rejuvenate the identity for their wide range of publications and reports.
We had a very tight initial timetable which gave us barely a couple of weeks to develop the identiy, design and set a couple of publications and produce the printed articles. We were conscious of the fact that we didn't have long to produce an identity which would potentially have a life of several years.
Whatever we did, it seems to have worked, although we made the odd (now-rectified) mistake along the way, bassac now has a very strong and recognisable print identity which we're very much enjoying applying to new pieces of work for them.
